Here is the beginning of our shake journey. So far weve only made fruity ones. I dont have amounts, just ingredients... I usually just throw things in, so Im not sure real amounts anyway. I love the way each of these came out though. So yummy. And photographing them really does help as a log to go back to!
oatmeal - blueberries - orange juice - flax oil - ice
orange juice - dash of milk - frozen bluberries - frozen banana - raw honey - flax oil - flax seed - ice
cranberry juice - frozen blueberries - frozen cherries - yogurt

ReplyDeleteleyla.
I try to drink a smoothie every morning. I'm low on iron so I toss some spinach or kale or any kind of green leafy thing in there along with some chia seeds. Your smoothies sound delicious! Will have to try some of those!
ReplyDeleteum, wow. i'm coming over.
ReplyDeleteThose all sound amazing!!! Keep it up girl!! :D
ReplyDeleteWhy don't my smoothies ever look so colorful and vibrant ;(?
ReplyDeleteAll of those look extremely delicious! So glad I stumbled upon your blog. Thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteI love my morning smoothie! Spinach, kale, mint, parsley, sprouts, a cup of juice (either pineapple or "defense up" Evolution brand from whole foods!), and ICE (i love how this makes it taste even better :) ) Mmm Mmm, so good!!! Sometimes I add fresh fruit to it too- mangoes today! My sweet friend orchid (orchidthedevourer.blogspot.com) pre-makes these bags for every day of the week so all I do is open the bag and dump in the blender. Genius!!!
ReplyDeletei love making and dreaming up shakes and smoothies.
ReplyDeleteThese look very yummy Laura, the last two in particular.

I've been on a smoothie kick recently too.
ReplyDeleteSo far my favorite has been a mixture of the frozen apple juice & strawberries - though, that one is more of a slushie since there is no milk.
A new favorite involves fresh bananas, almonds, baked oatmeal, yogurt, almond milk, ice and a wee bit of honey and vanilla extract. Which is crazy because I don't like bananas.
Mmm! My personal favorite is yogurt, frozen banana, oatmeal, almonds, and a dollop of peanut butter. :)
ReplyDeletewe love smoothies here as well! i usually don't do a whole lot of greens (herbs or lettuce from our garden usually) cause i prefer not eating raw greens... BUT we love adding shredded coconut to ours and chopped black mission figs are soooo good too! (i also use kefir as a base, if you do dairy it is awesome for creaminess and a little kick of yoghurt tang-i-ness)
ReplyDeleteyay for blenders!!

ReplyDeleteI never thought of putting tea into a smoothie, that's fantastic! I LOVE smoothies. I like to add a few handfuls of spinach too to get some greens in :) And you cant' really taste it!
ReplyDeleteI am really missing my blender right now, all these combos sound delicious, the last one sounds like an extra yummy treat. Love bannas in shakes!
ReplyDeleteThose all look so yummy! My all time favorite shake to make is blueberry and almond milk. I usually do 1/2 cup blueberries and 1 cup almond milk.
