Bits of Life - Holidays Arising >>>

A few little captures from our week.  For the most part, its been pretty quiet around here.  Ive been catching up on orders and Im starting to finally feel like Im making head way.  I spent the entire day yesterday working on my post for my amazing sponsors, coming soon.  I love featuring all these lovely ladies.  Lots of giveaways coming up this next week!  And in case you missed the announcement, my sponsor spots for December are now open, see this page for details.  Lots of new Skyline Fever was also posted yesterday, some yummy new styles.  And several new Roots and Feathers pieces were added this week as well, with lots more to come!  Im also dreaming up my next lookbook, hopefully Ill get to make one for winter.

On the home front, James got his long awaited Angels and Airwaves Cd/Book in the mail.  It was so awesome going to the theater with him to watch the live showing of the AVA movie Love.  Did anyone else see it?  Such a cool vision from a band, I loved it.

Bella and Violet went to the vet this week and got all sorts of pretty.  Bella has been super lovie since she got home.  We snuggled on the couch last night like we never have before, it was so sweet.

Me and Violet on the way home from the vet :)  I love how cute Violet looks when she hangs her head out the window.  She loves the breeze on her face.

I made an Xmas wishlist treasury on etsy.  I did this last year and it was so much fun, so I thought Id do it again.  Anyone want to join in?  Send me a link if you make one!   These are pieces Ive personally been drooling over on etsy.  And I love love love having handmade artisan items in my wardrobe when possible.   You can click here to see the actual interactive treasury.   It was fun looking back at last years to see how my style has grown over the past year.  I think the neutral walls in my new house are having an affect on me :)

Speaking of Christmas, I can hardly believe how close it is.  This week I finally broke out a notebook and started making notes of things Id like to get for certain people, and Ive started a bit of shopping.  I dont know how my bestie does it, she is pretty much done already!  Crazy girl!  Im looking forward to putting up our christmas tree in our new home for the first time.  And building our first fire in the fireplace, with a blanket on the floor and cups of hot chocolate.  And hopefully having a pie making day with a girlfriend of mine.  And watching my favorite movie Youve Got Mail.  And snuggling on the couch.  And hopefully going to Lost Maples.  And hanging twinkle lights.  Mmmmmm....  its starting to sink in.  What are your favorite things about the holiday season?

PEACE,
Laura

  2. such cute pets :)

going to lost maples is one of the best memories of my childhood/young adulthood. My family & I had traditions of going camping at least twice a year, sometimes more. And hiking in the hills of lost maples, & eating bagels, apples & cheese when we got to the top :) such sweet memories.

  3. 1. (From your last post) I'm so glad glad you guys love working together! Your collaboration pays off!

    2. Funnily enough, even though Tom Hanks is my all-time favorite actor, You've Got Mail is one of like 2 of his movies that I don't own/I've never seen. I figure it might be like Sleepless in Seattle, which is amazing. I'm sure I'll get around to it eventually.

    3. My favorite things about the holiday season: the warm smells from the kitchen, seeing my breath outside while I walk the dog, driving around looking at christmas lights, (seeing the christmas lights while I walk the dog!), the smell of chimney smoke in the air, that every store (and downtown) is decorated christmasy so you are always reminded of the season, bundling up when I go outside, christmas music, and the general feeling of the holidays--and being happy because of it!

    (Super long comment; sorry!)

make it a point to watch Youve Got Mail. It is similar to Sleepless in Seattle, but so much its own. Its so so so good!
