A Simple Way to Dress up Jeans >>>

I put together the perfect outfit the other day. By simply layering a sheer top (forever21) over a simple tank (Skyline Fever) and jeans outfit, it went from being kind of boring to just the right amount of comfort and style in one. And actually was even more comfy then just the jeans and tank b/c Im not much of a tank girl most of the time. So the kimono top was an extra layering of sheer comfort. Paired with my Blowfish flats = perfection. I really really enjoy the process of putting outfits together. I always have. And when you find something that just works on every level for yourself, that is golden!  I wore my Nanoukiko necklace again, which is the least amount of jewelry Ive worn in a long time.  Every now and then I love to just let one simple piece stand out.  I think this will be my go to outfit when Im in a funk and need some comfort but still want to feel good.  Ive had these jeans for about 10 years now and still love them!
*because I get asked alot -- the curtains are from World Market and the macrame owl was thrifted*

Do you have a go to outfit that is your comfort???  Oh, and speaking of Blowfish shoes, you should check out my last post to see some of their amazing new styles!!  You can get this print above in a wedge now!  Holy moly!

PEACE,
Laura

  3. My gosh! You are amazing, miss. Every post you publish is... just... simply amazing. This is so an outfit I'd wear. <3 I love how comfy yet cute everything is. When I'm in a funk, or I just need a comfort outfit, I often go for my best fitting jeans (I am totally a jean girl - I own like one skirt!) and a sundress. I often go barefoot while wearing such an outfit, and add some type of natural jewelry. <3

  5. If you were to replace your outfit with a cardigan and Converse, that would be the outfit I live in. : ]

I try to wear more flats but they make my feet look small (which they are) and the soles are always so thin...but I am seriously itching for some Blowfish flats to try since they're all so cute! Hmm...

  6. beckie, try getting some flats with a more rounded toe... it may feel a bit more like your cons? and a cardi and cons are my typical go to as well for an outfit like this, so it was nice to dress it up a notch :)

  8. Beautiful outfit! It looks super comfy too. :)
In the winter I tend to lean towards my bell bottoms, a funky striped tee from Old Navy, and a thrifted cardigan. In the summer, you will almost always find me in a maxi dress!

  13. Laura I think you're right! I like round toe shoes better, and it didn't occur to me why that might be until you just said that. I will keep this in mind when it's time for some new shoes. : ]

  14. I like the kimono top! :)

My 'go to' comfort outfit usually involves some leggings, Bensimon shoes and an oversized sweater or top w/cardigan.

  15. I used to be afraid of wearing sheer clothing for fear it would snag or rip easily. I have recently been becoming more interested in wearing it. I love the way you styled your top. So cute. xo, rv
