Not Our Day...

Ugghhh... Today was just about the worst day in the whole moving experience.  I posted this photo b/c I should probably just keep it to myself, but... this is real life.  Woke up with a headache.  Then we went to the city today to pick up our table to find out that it was a mistake, and it really wont be here until June.  Total bummer.  But its okay.  Just a big waste of time for all we had to do today.  The worst part of the day was just our general attitude.  James and I were both tired and frustrated and totally did not make a good team today.  We did lots of heaving lifting and cleaning and its super hard to get in there and be motivated when your mood is sour.  Totally not a good day.  Im so tired I could sleep for a week I think.

But, we are all good now.  Came home and made a nice dinner, took a long shower and now Im ready to go lay me down to sleep.  Some days are just like this.  Pretty much not a smile through the day.  How do you relax when you find your self uber stressed and about to explode?  I know we all get that way!  And inevitably when I have days like these, I find myself missing my mother so badly.

PEACE,
Laura

  1. It's just the ebb to the normal flow:) I used to hate ebb...but, have since realized that without ebb...appreciating the flow becomes forced and disingenuous. Sometimes, I don't think it's an attitude problem, but an appropriate response to a not so great day. How quickly we move on is the key:) Good job doing that so quickly! Blessings to you:)

  2. oh honey, have grace for yourself. <3 you make the world lovely and rich ~ thank you for being you, and bad days are allowed. i find when it happens to me i just need to STOP and find some kind of sanctuary...some zen, and just rest. be nurtured. can you get a massage? find what comforts, and cling to it...sending hugs.

  6. So sorry you both had such a bad day. When my days are like that I enjoy laying in a very hot bubble bath. After soaking and relaxing for a while i get out all my Lush products and just lather my body up in all the Lush stuff. I tell myself "ohhh it's time to get Lushed out" I always feel better and smell better after a Lush day.

  7. Long hot shower, a good hug from my sweetie, and a snuggle with the kitty.

  8. Aw I'm sorry to hear that dear. When I get stressed out, I go home and watch a movie with my hubby. We have bunnies and let them run around the house. They make me smile. That and cuddling makes me remember why the bad days don't even matter.

  9. ooooo.... sounds familiar. What do I do when I´m on neurotic overload? Breathe. And look for beautiful images. Somehow this relaxes me. My husband says I have a way of reminding him of the lightness and beauty in life, only by browsing through the blogs and images I look through. I try to meditate, breathing in and out, once I can get myself to bed, and try to remember all I have to be thankful for. Which is basically OH so much! Haven´t been around in a while, glad to be back visiting your lovely blog. Big abrazo! Clau
