This is what our halloween ended up looking like. We had plans to go to our friends house to hang out, and possibly walk around town with the kiddos like we do each year... but between the emotions and stresses of this week, and knowing James had to be at work at 4 am this morning, we decided ultimately to just stay home and have our own halloween. Since we are moving a new couch into our living room today, we decided yesterday to move the other one into the bedroom a day early so we could make a big palette on the floor for movies. I had a few drinks, made taco salad, and we watched two of my alltime favorite movies, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and House of a 1,000 Corpses. I love watching these two films together b/c you can see the influence Rob Zombie had through his movie. I absolutely love Captain Spaulding's (above clown) character. No matter how many times I watch this film, I love it just the same. This ended up being the perfect way to celebrate our halloween.
Now for today I'll working as much as I can on editing for The Bohemian Collective. Ive been posting some sneak peeks of the upcoming winter lookbook over on the blog. And this past week I added the google friend connect, so if you weren't already 'officially' following the blog, its super easy to do so now. Just look towards the bottom of the sidebar for it. And while your down there, don't forget Kelly Ann has made an awesome music playlist to listen to while browsing the blog! We will be launching the new lookbook on November 13th and I'm getting super excited!
Looks so cozy! We didn't get to have much of a Halloween this year - I worked late and my husband worked early. Maybe next year!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a cozy little spooky fest :D
ReplyDeleteLooks perfect to me! As much as I love going out with all my friends sometimes you definitely need that alone time. I hope you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I've owned House of 1000 Corpses for like...12 yrs and have yet to watch it?!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the perfect Halloween. Certainly better than mine. I love House of a 1000 Corpses. You have to follow it up with watching Devil's Rejects. They are like peas and carrots together.
ReplyDeleteyes, i love the sequel devil's rejects! just not as much as house of 1,000 corpses... they do go well together!!!
DeleteTwo of my favorite horror flicks. Good to know I'm not the only sicko blogger around these parts. haha.
