Endless Love

My diptych project this week (week 9) for Miss Match was ENDLESS, and i was partnered with Katie from Squidart (left photo). We chose the idea of 'endless love'. I think they came out so cute together... I really love how it came out this week. Thanks Katie!!!

New Styles at Violet Bella!!!

I am very excited to introduce to you 'The Coolest Owl Bag in the History of Owl Bags'. Yes, that is what i named it! And I think its true! I am so crazy about this bag! One special girl will find her heart right inside of it, and hopefully love it so much, she just might carry it with her everywhere she goes...

The owl is a vintage hand stitched embroidery, like I have never seen! The bag material is really cool upholstery vintage fabric. The straps is patchworked with vintage remnants that are very special. The back has a double granny square pocket!

And here is Violet Bella's new addition, my style of an Obi belt! I am wild about these! Many more to come. Each one completely one of a kind! I will be making smalls for the shop, but you can custom order these in your size, and your style!

New Found Inspiration

So, after a week of the pms blues, I found new inspiration today. I woke up and told myself I would not mope around another day... And I had the itch to sew after several days away...

You will not get to see what I created until tomorrow, so I will leave you with a few photos that seem to reminisce the vibe of what I created... These are all photos I have saved in my happy folder, mostly found on weheartit or flickr.

Last photoshoot...

So, this past week I did my very last scheduled photo shoot. Not sure if any of you read my post on facebook, but I am going to stop doing any photoshoots for a while, and just focus on my art in photography. I never really set out to be a portrait photographer or a wedding photographer... But dont worry Shauna, I am a lifer with you!!! Always and forever!

Here is Adrienne, can you believe she only has 5 weeks left to be pregnant! We were lucky to still find a few wildflowers growing...

In other news, this week has just been torture... ha ha, not really, but this time of my little cycle I feel sooooo drained, and foggy, and I cant work, I cant do anything! ALL WEEK LONG! Im crazy moody and whiny (be happy you are not James this week :). I have not gotten anything accomplished and I feel like a big frump on a log! yep, thats how i feel!

To skate or not to skate...

Big time update... but for starters, we must talk about these skates. I have been wanting a pair of roller skates for a long time now. I want to have something fun to do while my husband skate boards, and I thought this would be perfect! Although I have not skated since I was a kid, I remember having fun... But you know me... I can have just regular boring skates, they must be vintage and they must be cute! I look regularly online and never find them in my size... until yesterday! So I made a pact with myself last night... if I sold something in my shop worth $50, I would buy these... well I did! But I still dont have the courage to spend $50 on skates! eeeekkk, I dont know what to do. I know they are worth it, Im just not use to spending money on things like this. We are trying to save our hard earned money to build a house one day... So I am at a road block, do I get the skates or not???????

In other news, for my Miss Match diptych project last week, I got to pair up with the lovely Andrea Despot, and our prompt was player. We first came up with this elaborate idea of a woman daydreaming about her man, who happened to be out cheating on her... but as the week passed by, I became worried I would not be able to fit James into a shoot, so last minute, we changed it all up into a 'musical instrument' theme for player. We went with a 70's retro vibe, and I just adore how they look together.

And, I just got a new PPP dress, and Im in love with it! So fun and cute for spring! And of course, its perfect with my ratty old cons... If you do not own something from her shop, then go now! You should!!!!

And I had to get this shirt b/c of an inside joke with my husband and his buddies, but then I found out that it may have something to do with 'twilight' ???

Im in the new RUCHE LOOKBOOK!!!

In much happier news, I awoke to a delightful email from the owner of Ruche telling me that my jewelry is featured in their new lookbook! I am so excited and honored that she chose my jewelry to be a part of their beautiful catalog. I think their lookbooks are devine, right in line with Anthropologie, amazing! Needless to say, I am thrilled! I have about 10 pieces of my jewelry offered on their site right now.

The lookbook is 3 times as big as the last one, and my jewelry is featured on each one of these pages below. Some are hard to see. Its my indie trinket necklace, and my small mustard blossom earrings, and a pair of long pink dangly earrings. You can probably click on each picture to see them bigger, or you can just go look at the beautiful lookbook for yourself on www.shopruche.com. Most of my jewelry is featured under the indie section. They have tons of new goodies for spring, so be sure to check out their new arrivals!
