Studio Tour >>>

This is my special place to create.  I recently remodeled the whole room with some of my parents furniture, and hundreds of little trinkets that belonged to my parents that I have been holding onto.  It feels so wonderful to be completely surrounded by these things while I work each day.  It brings me constant little reminders of their love.  There are moments it makes me sad, but more often then not, it brings a sense of comfort.  I could spend hours telling you the story behind each little thing in this room... I could not have formed a more perfect little sanctuary to spend my days in.  I just wish my mom could see it.  She would be so delighted.  The AMAZING cubby shelf my dad built a long time ago.  Im so honored to have it in my home now.  I love love love my studio!

You can view all of the photos in my flickr set here also.

 PEACE,
 Laura

  8. Looks fabulous and inspiring! It makes me want to decorate my space. Right now the only decoration I have is a two year old paper Starbucks cup hanging on the wall because my husband finds it extremely comical. I LOVE your diy lace earring holders. Good job lady. :)

  25. oh my! this is just awesome!!! how in the world could i be so organized?!?! haha it really looks great girl. question: do you ever feel 'left out' of the rest of the house. i know you guys dont have kiddos, but i always feel so far from them when i go to the art room. but i really like all my things in one central location. your thought?

  27. yes, ive always felt a bit uncomfortable having my space i create away from the rest of the house. in our old house it was all together, my jewelry desk was butt up behind our couch b/c that was the only space for it. this is sooo different. but now that i have it fixed up so nice, i dont want to leave, so its not so hard anymore. much better than the two plastic fold up card tables that were there just two weeks ago! i love this space so much now. i actually wake up and go directly in there!
